Berlin Goes Wild for BEAST
On February 12, BEAST held their first sole European concert in Berlin, Germany. This show was the second stop of their world tour, “Beautiful Show,” which kicked off in Seoul, Korea a week prior. Performing at the Columbia Halle, BEAST gathered over three thousand fans across Europe.
The concert lasted about two hours with BEAST performing their hit songs, “Special,” “Breath,” “Shock” and more. Three thousand European fans knew all the lyrics to these songs and followed along. The fans also went wild when BEAST shouted “We love you, Berlin!” and other comments in German.
BEAST’s Yoon Doo Joon stated, “I am very happy that this world tour includes our first sole concert in Europe. This is only the beginning and I hope that it will serve as a springboard to visit all the countries where there are fans.” BEAST’s Son Dong Woon stated, “What I have seen here is beyond my imagination. I am so happy to begin the ‘Beautiful Show’ in Berlin.”
Prior to the concert, BEAST was featured on various local newspapers as well as on music TV channels, garnering much attention as a leading K-Pop group in Europe.
BEAST proved their popularity in Europe during the “United Cube in London” concert back in December 2011. Cube Entertainment representative expressed that through the “Beautiful Show” they were able to confirm once again the ever growing popularity of K-Pop music in the entire European continent, not just isolated in few countries.
BEAST will continue their world tour in Shanghai, China on February 25. The world tour is scheduled to include 21 cities in 14 countries.
