Japan Is Ready For BIGBANG
BIGBANG‘s comeback and world tour, “2012 BIGBANG Alive Tour,” is also being watched by Japanese media. In a March 5 article from the Japanese paper Sankei Sports, the writer talks about BIGBANG’s popularity not only in Korea but throughout the world. As you may remember, BIGBANG won the “World Wide Act” award at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards. And while BIGBANG faced a number of obstacles in 2011, leader G-Dragon said that regarding this tour, “Until now, we focused on making things fun for the fans. This time, we are trying to create a musical show.”
The writer continued by stating that by having Laurieann Gibson on as the main director, BIGBANG has created a strong team and a world tour on a scale never before done by an Asian artist. About 39,000 people attended the Seoul performances which took place between March 2 and 4.
