Adam Couple Fans Donate 300 Bags of Rice for the Elderly
It has been more than a year since Jo Kwon and Ga In left their virtual married life on “We Got Married,” but their fans have continued to be active in projects under their name. Local news agencies report that the Adam Couple’s fan club, Adanes have recently turned over a donation of 300 bags of rice to the Yang Foundation to help the elderly.
The Adanes fan club, formed to support 2AM‘s Jo Kwon and Brown Eyed Girls‘ Ga In as the “Adam Couple” has more than 3,800 members. They raise funds yearly for the purpose of taking the lead in helping the most vulnerable.
The 300 bags of rice were delivered to the Yang Foundation’s Seoul office on March 5, in which the Adanes members also participated. The rice is expected to reach around 230 low-income families in Seodaemun-gu, Gangseo and Yangcheon Region.
“With artists taking an interest in extending love to our neighbors and participating in meaningful givng, I hope we propagate this culture of social sharing,” No Hui Jung, Yang Foundation manager said.
Yang Foundation was founded in 1999, and started as an organization that conducts home visits to the needy, such as senior citizens living alone. The organization began with providing support in the form of rice and food. Yang Foundation has since expanded to support families in Seodaemun-gu, Gangseo and Yangcheon Region.
