IU Releases Japanese Debut Album, "Good Day" #8 on Oricon
IU released her Japanese debut album which contains “Good Day” on March 21. The album was sold as a limited A, limited B, and a complete edition. The album contained a DVD that had video from the show case in January and also a photo book.
IU caught the attention of Japan when she featured her 3 octave scale note at the January, 2012 showcase. The 3 octave scale high notes that she sings made her famous in South Korea.
The single “Good Day” has already reached the Oricon Single Chart. “Good Day” was number 8 on March 21, already in the top 10!
IU is currently working with EMI Music Japan which also has female singers such as Utada Hikaru and Ringo Sheena.
