Yuna Kim Becomes YG Trainee

YG Entertainment recently announced that they have added Yuna Kim from “Super Star K3″ to the company as a trainee. They have already seen much improvement and potential in Yuna Kim and seem satisfied with the progress she has been making.

An official from YG Entertainment commented, “Yuna Kim joined YGE last year and has been training for almost six months now. We saw her on ‘Super Star K3’ and highly valued her potential. After several training sessions, she has been making steady progress. She’s improved a lot.”

Yuna Kim appeared on “Super Star K3” last year. She stated that she has already passed JYP Entertainment‘s audition, but decided to further challenge herself through “Super Star K3.” She said, “If I win 500 million won, I just want to fool around. I want to enjoy everything like Jo Kwon does.” Her cheerful character instantly grabbed viewer’s attention. She sang Song Ji Eun‘s “Are You Crazy” on “Super Star K3” and judge Lee Seung Chul seemed happy with her performance. He commented, “It’s like I’m watching BoA in her younger days.” 

Currently, YG Entertainment is preparing a new girl group to debut in 2012. However, whether Yuna Kim will be joining this group or not has not been decided yet.
