Cool, Confident, and Charismatic Daesung Used to Be Shy?

Earlier today, SBS “Bae Ki Wan, Choi Young Ah, and Jo Hyung Ki’s Good Morning” treated Big Bang fans with a blast from the past. The episode showed pre-debut moments of each member. Viewers were especially drawn to Daesung’s clip, which showed then-high-school student Daesung singing. He appeared very shy and embarrassed, staring at the floor as he sang. 

His vocal trainer commented, “Daesung wouldn’t make eye contact with me while he sang. So I trained him to look at me as he sings or else I would make him start [singing] from the beginning. Afterwards, he would start making eye contact and even wink.”

Now cool, confident, and charismatic, Daesung’s past appearance surprised many viewers. He was able to overcome his shy personality through continued training, showing others that they can also overcome their weakness if they choose to change.
