Kara’s Kang Ji Young Wears Leggings… Only Leggings…

KARA‘s Kang Ji Young recently showed off her “no-pants look” in Japan.

On April 9, KARA guested on “Hey! Hey! Hey!” a Japanese music variety show on Fuji Television. This day, Kang Ji Young talked about karaoke singing and chose “Maru Maru Mori Mori” as her favorite Japanese song. “Maru Maru Mori Mori” is a 2011 hit song sung by child actress Mana Ashida and her co-actor Suzuki Fuku. The two starred in Fuji TV’s television series “Marumo’s Rule.” Due to the friendly melody and easy rhythm, the song is considered one of Japan’s national songs.

Kang Ji Young stated, “I once went on a vacation to Japan with my family. We went to the karaoke and I sang ‘Maru Maru Mori Mori.’ When my mother saw this, she told me that I was cute.”

Hearing this, the MCs requested the singer to show part of the choreography on the spot. Smiling, Kang Ji Young came up to the stage and showed off her cute dancing and singing. She received claps and cheers from the audience.

However, what got netizens buzzing was the fact that the singer wasn’t wearing pants– instead, she only showed up in leggings. They left comments such as, “Her dance was cute but that outfit is kind of awkward,” “That outfit matches her, but it’s still slightly embarrassing,” and “It seems like she is wearing black underwear with her leggings.”

Also on this day, it was revealed that KARA’s song “Mister” was selected as the favorite karaoke song in Japan.

In the past, “Mister” had even surpassed songs from Japan’s famous girl group AKB48 and risen to the top. KARA is currently in the list of top 10 idol groups in Japan.
