Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2012 - April Week 2

Looking back at their impressive progression last week, it didn’t take the boys of SHINee long before  topping  our chart, earning them the much coveted first place with title song “Sherlock” from their eponymous mini album and a total score of 899. “Sherlock” entered our music chart two weeks ago at number 10 and fought their way up to the second spot last week.

2AM lost their spot and is right behind at number 2 with their latest hit “I Wonder If You Hurt Like Me.”   The song has been very popular on music charts and music shows. And after a successful round of promotions, 2AM has concluded their promotional activities this week with goodbye stages on music shows.

CNBlue is also competing against SHINee and 2AM for first place with the catchy number “Hey You.” CNBlue previously made its entry in our chart last week at number 6 and is showing great progress this week as it made it in the top 3 with a score of 815.

A rather familiar sight in our top this week again. Big Bang still is in the competition even though “Fantastic Baby” lost its spot to CNBlue this week. The song ranks at number 4 with 792 points. Big Bang previously ranked number 2 with “Fantastic Baby” two weeks ago and number 3 last week, showing a slow fall in our chart. But, and there is one, their other title track “Blue” still is in the top 10. “Blue” earned one spot this week and charts at number 9.

Newcomer Busker Busker shows a spectacular rise to the top with hit single “Cherry Blossom Ending.” “Cherry Blossom Ending” gained 10 spots in our chart, and ranked at number 7 this week. Busker Busker has been enjoying tremendous popularity and won awards after awards on weekly music shows.

Interestingly enough, the Trouble Maker duo is back in our chart’s top 50 coinciding with 4Minute‘s much anticipated return in the music scene.

New songs in our chart this week consist of Navi‘s “Because It’s You” featuring Noel, Gummy and Bobby Kim‘s “Love Recipe 2 – People These Days,” Huh Gak‘s “Person Who Once Loved Me” and Yim Jae Bum‘s “String of Fate.”

Next week will see news songs chart in our top with hot releases such as 4Minute and Sistar, and EXO-K‘s debut.
