Baek Ayeon Dropped from "SBS K-Pop Star"

For “SBS K-Pop Star” we are finally at the finals and down to only two contestants! Baek Ayeon was dropped from the April 22 show. Lee Hai and Park Ji Min made it to the finals! It appears that next week we will finally see an end to the rivalry between the two vocally talented contestants.

On the April 22 episode, Baek Ayeon sang 2AM’s “I Was Wrong.” Lee Hai performed, Lee Hyori’s “U Go Girl,” and Park Ji Min performed, “You Raise Me Up.”

Before the result was announced, there were also special performances by the contestants with famous K-Pop stars! Baek Ayeon sang “Lady Marmalade” with Girls’ Generation Tiffany and Taeyeon. Lee Hai performed miss A’s “Bad Girl, Good Girl” with miss A. Park Ji Min performed GD & T.O.P.’s “Oh Yeah,” with GD & T.O.P.

After the exciting performances, the final result came out and Baek Ayeon was dropped. She held back her tears and stated, “I want to thank BoA you helped me dance, YG who considered me as a strong contender, and JYP who said that he would like to take charge of producing for me.”
