Infinite's Sung Kyu Receives a Surprise Birthday Present From His Japanese Fans
The charismatic leader Sung Kyu of Infinite received a wonderful birthday surprise. On April 25, Infinite performed at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo to promote their second single “Be Mine.” At this event, they performed hit singles like “Julia” and their Japanese debut hit single “BTD.” They also performed their hit “Paradise” at the request of their fans, who all loudly screamed “Encore.”
During this event, the leader, who will be celebrating his birthday on April 28, received a surprise birthday cake from his Japanese fans. The fans also sang a happy birthday song in Korean. Sung Kyu was so touched, he commented, “I cannot believe this, I am truly grateful and happy.” After the performance, Sung Kyu thanked his fans once more by giving them a personal high five.
Infinite released their new single on April 18 and the single immediately managed to reach the second spot in the Oricon charts. Upon hearing this wonderful news, leader Sung Kyu promised that he will repay his loyal fans by showing them an even better performance. Group member L also thanked their fans by commenting, “We will become an even better Infinite!”
Their promotional tour for their new single will continue in Osaka on April 27 and on Fukuoka on April 30.
