IVY Appears on a KBS Program for the First Time in 5 Years

IVY made her first KBS appearance in five years on the April 27 episode of KBS’ “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.”

 Instead of a flashy dance song, the singer opted to sing a more subdued ballad.  IVY shared that this was the first time on stage in two years and more specifically, five years since performing on KBS.

IVY shied away from the spotlight after a scandal erupted in 2009.  Before the scandal, IVY was receiving positive reviews and attention for her catchy pop songs and sexy diva image.  She has been is preparing for her comeback and her return to the stage is garnering momentum in the media.

She remarked on the show, “I had to take a Cheongsimhwan (a herbal medicine effective in calming one’s nervousness and shock) 30 minutes before taking the stage. My heart felt like it was going to burst!”

Her performance on Sketchbook showed that the singer’s strong vocals have not changed and audiences received the singer with a warm applause.
