T-ara Announces Free Guerilla Concerts
T-ara announced on April 28 that the group would hold a free guerilla concert in both Japan and Korea if their first album in Japan surpasses 500,000 in sales.
T-ara will be releasing their first Japanese album “Jewelry Box” on May 6. Pre-sales started on April 19, and sales numbers for the album reached the number one spot of Japan’s Tower Records daily sales. Even after that, the album has been maintaining high spots in pre-sales.
According to major Japanese music label specialists, with the current pre-sale number, T-ara’s album is expected to sell between 300,000 to 400,000.
Last September, T-ara released “Bo Peep Bo Peep” and became the first Korea female group to claim the number one spot on the Oricon Daily chart on the day of the song’s release, as well as the number one spot on that week’s Oricon Weekly Chart.
This album includes all of T-ara’s hit songs including “Bo Peep Bo Peep,” “YAYAYA,” “Roly Poly,” “Lovey-Dovey,” and more. It seems as though T-ara’s plan may prevail through such a strategy.
Meanwhile, T-ara will be sticking around in Japan for its concert in July, as well as the group’s fanclub inauguration on July 14.
