
FT Island Charmed 10,000 Fans with Their Japanese Album Release Commemoration Event
Popular band FT Island released their second album “20” on May 16 in Japan. To commemorate this new release, FT Island held a special event on May 19 and May 20 in Tokyo and Osaka, respectively.
The members of FT Island sang five songs to the delight of over 10,000 fans. They performed Song Seung Hyun and Choi Min Hwan’s composed and written track, “Wanna Go,” Choi Jong Hoon’s “Stay,” “Satisfaction” and more.
Lee Jae Jin stated, “Since the average age of our members is 20, we named our album, ’20’ since we believe it is an album that shows you our current, real images.” Following that, a Q&A session as well as a gift exchanging session were held.
The members stated, “Today is our 2 year anniversary since our debut in Japan. Time really flies by fast. We will continue to try our best in the future.”
FT Island’s new album, “20” sold 23,720 copies on the first day, which set it on third place on the Oricon daily chart. FT Island will start their summer tour, “FT Island Summer Tour 2012 – Run! Run! Run!” starting on June 24 to July 8 in various Japanese cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and more.
