Lee Min Ho Has More Than 10 Million Online Friends

Lee Min Ho has set a new record with his total number of “friends” online, as his total “likes” and “followers” on his personal SNS channels surpassed 10 million people.

Lee Min Ho’s agency released a statement on June 8 saying, “Our numbers from June 6 show that Lee Min Ho has over 5.45 million Facebook ‘likes,’ 4.03 million Weibo followers, 660K Twitter followers, and 230K me2day friends, which is more than 10 million total SNS friends. These figures are #1 among all Korean celebrities, athletes, politicians, and businessmen.”

A lot of these fans come from diverse countries, making Lee Min Ho one of the most popular Korean stars in the world. In particular, more than 40% of his online “friends” come from Weibo, China’s version of Twitter.

“Weibo is China’s most popular online communication channel. Lee Min Ho’s popularity recently hit China and his number of followers are quickly increasing as well,” his agency said.

Lee Min Ho also expressed his appreciation, as he said, “The fan messages I get from SNS channels give me a lot of strength. I’ll return the love with a good showing on my August drama, ‘Faith.’ I’ll make sure to portray the character as best as I can.”
