Lee Yoon Ji Denies Casting Rumors for "Dae Poong Soo"

On June 12, actress Lee Yoon Ji‘s agency Namoo Actors announced, “Lee Yoon Ji will not be in ‘Dae Poong Soo.’ We are not even considering about appearing in the show. Lee Yoon Ji is currently taking a much needed break after MBC’s ‘The King 2Hearts.’ Once she is ready, she will come back to the screen.”

Previously, several entertainment media outlets have reported that Lee Yoon Ji will be starring in upcoming SBS historical fiction drama “Dae Poong Soo” as the heroine, Ban Ya. However, it is not confirmed that Lee Yoon Ji will not be playing the role of Ban Ya and many excited fans and viewers are paying close attention to find out who will be playing Ban Ya.

SBS’s new historical drama “Dae Poong Soo” portrays politically powerful scholars’ scheme to overthrow the existing empire in the late Goryeo dynasty and found Joseon dynasty with hero Lee Sung Kye has the new king.There will be total of 36 episodes and “Dae Poong Soo” will be airing in October.

So far, A Pink Son Na Eun’s casting has been confirmed while Go Soo is favorably reviewing the drama.
