A Gentleman’s Dignity Episode 13 Recap!

So..~ I’ve been following “A Gentleman’s Dignity” pretty closely, and decided that I would try out recapping. We have a new gallery function for Soompi, and I thought that it might be fun to read through a recap with the gallery feature! (Kind of like a comic book maybe?)

The first comical scene shows how the 4G got over breakups. Every time one of the members had a breakup, somebody would say “You forget girls through meeting new girls.” “Do you want to go on a blind date?”

Then we learn what happened when Taesan was the first to enter his mandatory military service. Each of the members asked Taesan for something he isn’t using. (This made me LOL)

Now we are brought back to the final part of the last episode. Dojin suddenly asks Yisoo, “Yisoo, let’s live together. I won’t care who you live with the next life, but this life, live with me. You’ll be happy, I promise.”

Of course, Yisoo rejects this offer and walks away in shock.

Inside her home, Yisoo is actually very happy.  Yisoo and Hong Pro talk about relationships, and Hong Pro ends up feeling a bit guilty about how things ended with Taesan.

The next day, Yisoo finds out that Yisoo’s student Donghyub hasn’t solved any of the questions for the test properly, but at the end he has a hidden message for Yisoo. Donghyub actually read the book she made him read.

Meahri’s arch nemesis Lawyer Kang is drinking with her love, Yoon. She is infuriated and drinks next to them. Then she tells Lawyer Kang to back off.

Yoon ends up taking Meahri home. Then, Taesan has a talk with Meahri. He basically tells her that Yoon wont’ be happy with Meahri, and that Yoon has to protect the 4G. That is why Taesan can never let Meahri be with Yoon.

After the breakup between Taesan and Hong Pro, Taesan is completely focused on baseball. Dojin finds out through Yoon that he is also a part of the baseball team now.

Rok and Dojin go to Taesan to complain about being put into the baseball team without their consent. However, they find out that Taesan has completely covered himself with pain reliever pads. Taesan is focusing on baseball to get rid of his pain.

Back at Rok’s café, Hong Pro is asking the caddy again to aid her. Even Meahri helps out, however the caddy still says no.

Dojin suddenly goes to Yisoo and Hong Pro’s home as a surprise. Dojin tells Hong Pro how Taesan is dealing with the breakup. Then inside of Yisoo’s room, they end up giving each other cute smooches. The two are supposed to go on a date but Yisoo suddenly cancels, saying that she has to meet fellow teachers.

Dojin follows Yisoo, and sees her at a café with two well-dressed gentleman. They seem to be her brothers. They have come to talk to Yisoo about her mother.

Yisoo, “She only raised me 12 years and raised you 24 years why is she my mother, don’t contact me again.” (It looks as though there is some inheritance involved?)

Yisoo sits down and cries, Dojin comes out of his car to console her.

Dojin, “I came because I was worried, not because I am jealous. What is going on? It’s ok, you don’t have to tell me. Just tell me when you want to later. But, if you ever need my help tell me. Ok?”

Taesan is cutting his hair, when a crying girl next to him is asking for her hair to be cut short. Taesan also asks to have his hair cut short. Then he tells the crying girl, “Would they (Our exes) know that we are doing this?”

Rok suggests that Taesan go on a blind date. However, Taesan states that he can’t help his feelings because he is in love with Hong Pro.

Taesan goes to hit some baseballs, and Hong Pro watches from afar.

Taesan returns home, sees how Collin is arguing with Meahri and he concludes that Collin needs to be sent back home. Yoon agrees, because he knows that Collin is here to cause trouble.

Back at his café, Rok asks Meahri to butter up Misook, or else he won’t give Meahri more information about Yoon.

However, while Meahri is talking to Misook, she ends up telling her about Collin who is Eun Hee’s son.

Misook asks Rok if Collin is his son. Rok denies this, and now… he wants to get rid of Collin too!

Collin is on the bed looking at the 4G members wondering who his father is!

Yoon goes to Dojin and finds that he is planning on living with Yisoo. Dojin admits that he is trying to propose to her. Yoon is happy and surprised at the same time, and begins to tease Dojin.

Dojin is eating with Yisoo, when Jung Yong Hwa of CNBlue suddenly appears. He used to be Yisoo’s student! Dojin is not pleased at all. (Jealousy!) After Jung Yong Hwa leaves, Dojin refuses to eat and goes outside.

Outside of the restaurant, Yisoo tells Dojin that she won’t move in with him, so that she can continue dating. The two have another “Cute” moment together!

Due to her money troubles, Hong Pro asks Misook for money. She gives up her car as collateral.

The 4g find out that Collin has disappeared. Through Meahri, they find out that Collin is probably trying to make money by performing music in Hongdae.

The 4G end up seeing Collin perform. Then Collin drops a bomb, that one of the 4G is his father.

Thoughts:

Although the drama had already built up the fact that one of the 4G is Collin’s father, it still managed to be fun. I really like how this drama makes these subjects believable but funny at the same time. I really impressed with Lee Jong Hyun’s acting!
