Korean Cultural Service New York to Host 2012 NY K-Pop Festival! Join the Contest!

The Korean Cultural Service New York (KCSNY) is hosting a 2012 New York K-Pop Festival! This festival is continuing on from last year’s success.

Here’s your chance to enter the “2012 World K-Pop Festival” in Korea! If you are 1^st place you will be qualified to have a chance to be one of the 15 contestants that will be selected from all around the world to attend the “2012 World K-Pop Festival.” How exciting is that?

From July 23 to August 10 of 2012, online preliminary entries for the first round of the New York K-Pop Contest will be accepted and judged by the panels selected from the KCSNY. Then, 9 contestants will be selected to perform live on August 31, 2012 at the NYU Skirball Center for performing arts at 6pm!

So what are the requirements for entering the contest?

1)      You must be a U.S. Resident

2)      You can either sing, dance, or both!

3)      You must pick one of the songs from SHINee, Big Bang, or the Wonder Girls.

4)      Download and fill out the application at koreanculture.org

5)      Upload a 3 minute clip on YouTube and send a link with the application to performingarts@koreanculture.org

6) Remember to say “I HEART NY, I HEART K-POP” at the end of the clip!

Categories: Singing, Dancing, Singing and Dancing

Genre:  Pick one of the songs from SHINee, Big Bang, Wonder Girls

How to Enter

1) Download the application atkoreanculture.org

2) Applicant(s) must personally upload a 3 minute multimedia clip on Youtube and submit the application form along with the Youtube address toperformingarts@koreanculture.org.

3) Remember to say “I HEART NY, I HEART K-POP” at the end of the clip!
