Super Junior is the "King of Album Sales" with 330,000 Copies of "Sexy, Free & Single" Sold

Super Junior proved that they were the “King of Album Sales” again.

After selling over 500,000 copies of their 5th album “Mr Simple” last year, including the repackage edition sells, Super Junior achieved it again with their 6th album “Sexy, Free & Single.”

According to the recorded album sales of Gaon Album Chart for the month of July, Super Junior’s 6th album ranked at first place with about 335,744 copies sold. The album topped the album chart since the first week of its release for three consecutive weeks. This album marks the return of Super Junior’s Kangin to the group, who was in the military for two years.

BEAST‘s “Midnight Sun” comes at #2 with 67,835 copies sold while 2PM Wooyoung‘s solo album is ranked at #3 with 52,618 copies sold. T-ara‘s album sales suffered from the Hwayoung controversy and is at #4 with 34,181 copies sold. PSY makes his return after two years with “PSY 6th Part 1” and charts at #5 with 32,309 copies sold. BoA is also back after 2 years with “Only One” and is ranked #6 with 28,576 copies. Pledis’s rookie boy group NUEST holds the #8 spot with 15,564 copies sold of their new mini-album “Action.”
