2NE1 Interviewed by Facebook: “First World Tour Was a Rewarding Experience”
2NE1 is the first asian group to be interviewed on “Facebook Live” and fans all over the world had a chance to watch.
They’re currently in the midst of their global tour “New Evolution” in the U.S. and had a chance to visit Facebook’s HQ on August 23 at 9am (KST) and take part in an interview. The interview lasted for 45 minutes and fans were able to stream live through YG’s blog site, YG Life.
Through Facebook, 2NE1 was able to meet and communicate with nearly 3 million fans. They talked about how they felt finishing their first overseas concert in the U.S., funny and interesting behind the scenes gossip along with questions brought in by fans from all over the world.
CL commented about the concert in New Jersey, “I’m proud to hold a great concert and work with awesome staff. It was a valuable experience.” 2NE1 was asked to pick their favorite music video from one of their own, and they chose “I Am the Best.”
CL also introduced the artists of YG Family like the duo unit GD&TOP, etc. Park Bom, Sandara Park and Gong Minji welcomed their fanclub, Blackjacks, with gestures full of aegyo.
“Facebook Live” interviewed famous public figures like President Obama, Madonna, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Oprah Winfrey and the fact that 2NE1 appeared on the same site appears to be a big deal.
Through this concert, 2NE1 was able to hold media interviews and they’re planning to continue with meeting fans via media interviews when they officially hold U.S. promotions.
