SM Entertainment's 'To the Beautiful You' Continues Downward Slide in Rating

SBS’s latest Wed.-Thurs. night drama “To the Beautiful You,” starring f(x)’s Sulli and SHINee’s Minho, saw another drop in ratings. According to AGB Nielsen, the drama recorded a dismal 5.1% for last night’s episode, a 0.6% drop since last Thursday. “To the Beautiful You” premiered with a respectable 7.3% but has seen a steady decline in ratings. The disappointing single-digit ratings has led Sulli to asking fans to watch her drama. On August 22, she wrote on her me2day, “If you don’t watch ‘To the Beautiful You,’ this is what Jae Hee will do kekekekeke” and attached a playful photo.

“To the Beautiful You” is the first TV drama produced by SM Entertainment’s new video contents division, SM C&C, and is directed by “Boys over Flowers'” Jeon Ki Sang. The romantic comedy is about Goo Jae Hee (Sulli), an extreme fan girl of champion high jumper Kang Tae Joon (Minho), who tries to make a comeback from a career-threatening injury. To help revive his career, Jae Hee impersonates a guy to attend Tae Joon’s all boys high school. “To the Beautiful You” is the third drama version of the popular Japanese manga “Hana Kimi.”

Meanwhile, its competitors KBS’sBridal Mask” and MBC’sArang and the Magistrate” recorded 19.8% and 13.2% respecitvely.
