FT Island's Lee Hong Ki Is New "M! Countdown" MC

FT Island’s lead vocalist Lee Hong Ki takes on another new assignment. According to reports in local news media, the acting idol is set to take on the hosting spot on Mnet’s music program “M! Countdown.”

Reports also quoted “M! Countdown” PD Jung Yoo Jin in the announcement, saying, “’M! Countdown’ will undergo  a change beginning August 30, with FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki taking on hosting duties. His graceful eloquence, expressiveness and witty improvisation, coupled with his experience in hosting and in his activities as a singer make him a natural choice.”

Lee Hong Ki has had experience hosting various music programs and awards shows prior to his “M! Countdown” assignment but he is expected to raise his profile further with this latest gig. He takes over from Tony Ahn.

“M! Countdown” airs Thursdays at 6PM.
