Psy has done it again! After gaining tremendous popularity in Korea and around the world, the rapper’s hit song, “Gangnam Style,” has ranked eighth on the US iTunes singles chart.
“Gangnam Style” is eighth in the overall top singles charts at the US iTunes store. Just five days ago, the track was 18th in the charts, Psy joins the ranks of popular acts, Alicia Keys, Justin Bieber and P!nk in the top ten. “Gangnam Style” is now also the most viewed video on YouTube.
In a statement, Psy’s agency, YG Entertainment expressed their joy over the news. “We are so happy to have ranked number 8 on a chart that is very well known in the US.”
Also this week, “Gangnam Style” became the most liked video of all time on YouTube. Currently, PSY’s video has 90,000 more likes than LMFAO‘s “Party Rock.”
Psy recently made an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where he taught Ellen and Britney Spears how to dance to “Gangnam Style.” He also guested on the popular American morning program, “The Today Show.”
