Hyori Reveals a New Family Member

On October 22, Hyori announced a new addition to her family on her twitter page, “Meet Kongshim! Maybe it’s because Kongshim looks so similar to SoonShim, I just had to adopt it so it wouldn’t be euthanized.”

In the photo posted to her twitter page, Hyori’s dog Soonshim and newly adopted Kongshim are seen laying side by side. Hyori’s true and sobering reasons for adopting Kongshim become apparent when it is hard to mistake Kongshim (pictured right) for Soonshim (pictured left), when one has black fur and the other yellow in the photo shown above. The other photo shows Hyori and Soonshim sitting on a bench together. 

Hyori is known by all her fans for her advocacy of animal rights and protection. Her dog Soonshim, who became just as famous because Hyori’s activism, also came from a supposed tragic background suffered by Kongshim, where it was subjected to much abuse and neglect. 

Netizens who saw the photo commented with, “I’m not sure if they really look alike but Kongshim is sure adorable!”, “Soonshim might get jealous!” and “Are Soonshim and Kongshim friends? Or a couple?”
