Park Jin Young Takes a Well-Deserved Rest after Marking 500 Songs in 18 Years

JYP Entertainment’s Park Jin Young finally updated his fans about his whereabouts. Earlier this month, Park Jin Young had belatedly congratulated PSY on his global success with “Gangnam Style.” He had tweeted, “Jae Sang, I just heard about your news today after spending my time away from Korea without a cell phone or internet connection. What in the world is going on! I did an interview cheering you on and wishing you to succeed with ‘Gangnam Style‘ two weeks ago, just before I left Korea. And now that song is ranked at the second place on the billboards chart! How could you accomplish something other people have prepared for years in just a month? Congratulations! Your life is full of drama! I’ll give you a call as soon as I get a cell phone again.” His tweet had piqued netizens’ curiosity as to where Park Jin Young was and why he didn’t have access to the internet.

In his tweet yesterday, Park Jin Young  finally revealed where he was and what he was doing. On October 22, he tweeted, “How is everyone? After spending such a long time in the Middle East, my skin color has [darkened] keke.” He continued, “Making 500 songs for 18 years, guess I needed a break. 2 month rest, now I’m ready to go for the 2nd half of my life!

After seeing the photo, netizens observed Park Jin Young’s tanned skin and the farm animals behind him. They commented, “JYP looks like a local,” “He’s made 500 songs? Wow. He does deserve a break,” “His photo just made my day,” “He seems happy and relaxed,” “So that’s where he was,” and more.

In related news, Park Jin Young reunites with YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk and SM Entertainment’s BoA for a second season of SBS’s “K-Pop Star ,” which will air its pilot episode on November 18.
