KBS “Invincible Youth 2” to End

KBS officially confirmed the cancellation of “Invincible Youth 2” on November 5. A representative from KBS told, “We have decided to end ‘Invincible Youth 2.’ The last filming will be on November 7 in Daebu Island and the last episode is currently scheduled to air sometime in mid-November.” This representative added, “We have no plans regarding a follow-up show, but we will make an announcement as soon as we make the decision.”

“Invincible Youth 2” first aired in November 2011. The show suffered from lack of materials and therefore, low ratings. Many were hopeful with the new MC Lee Young Ja joining and changing the format, but the show still struggled with low ratings ranging from 5 to 6%.

Moreover, the show has been sponsored by the city of Ansan but the contract between the city and the show expired, causing more difficulties in making the show. On top of such problems, members of G5 had a hard time managing their schedule and including “Invincible Youth 2” in their busy life. As a result, the show has been cancelled.
