Psy and "Gangnam Style" Accused of Being Involved with Illuminati

Recently on YouTube, a video titled “Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style’ Illuminati Symbols” was posted, accusing Psy of worshiping Satan and participating in a conspiratorial organization. This video explains, “If you add the numbers of the Psy’s album release date, July 15, 2012, it adds to 666, Satan’s number,” “Psy’s 6th album jacket is of the shape of Horus’ Eye, which symbolizes Illuminati,” “The mermaid shape signifies Dagon, who is one of the important symbols of Illuminati,” and so on. 

Moreover, the video insists, “The song has been back-masked. If you listen closely, you can hear ‘The Star has come.'” Here, the “Star” refers to Lucifer in Freemasonry. Back-masking refers to a method of recording, where one records sound backwards. This is not the first time Psy has been accused of being involved with Freemasonry.  The creator of this video argues that “Gangnam Style” has become so popular because Illuminati helped him to do so. He added English captions to this video, kindly explaining how Psy is related to Illuminati and Freemasonry. 

Netizens commented on such accusation, “This is getting really annoying. Why are people accusing him of things like this?” “This is by far the most uncalled for, ridiculous accusation,” and “If he was really a part of Illuminati, he would’ve been able to reach the number one stop on the Billboard chart already.”  

Meanwhile, Psy’s “Gangnam Style” became the second most watched video on YouTube as of November 2. “Gangnam Style” reached 615 million in viewership and pushed Jennifer Lopez‘s “On the Floor” music video down to the third place.
