Kim Hyun Joong’s Wax Figure Coming to Busan in December
Madame Tussauds Busan announced that they will reveal a was figure of Kim Hyun Joong in December. Kim Hyun Joong sat through the “sitting” process for this wax figure, where he had to stay still on a turn table for approximately 3 hours for a 360 degree analysis of his body. Through this process, nearly 500 traits of Kim Hyun Joong’s body was scanned. This information was sent back to Madame Tussauds studio in London to build a wax figure.
There are total of 13 Madame Tussauds in the world and only the most popular and most desired historical figure and/or celebrities get to display their wax figures in these museums. Therefore, it’s something to be proud of and honored to have one’s wax figure stationed one a Madame Tussauds.
Madame Tussauds Busan will also conduct an event to celebrate the addition of Kim Hyun Joong’s wax figure to their collection through their official facebook page and twitter from November 7 until November 14. Whoever guesses the pose of Kim Hyun Joong’s wax figure will be eligible to enter a lottery, where one will receive a free entrance ticket to Madame Tussauds Busan if won.
Madamme Tussauds Busan’s PR director Lee Jung Hee commented, “The number of Korean tourists at different locations of Madame Tussauds in Asia have increased drastically and overseas tourists are paying more close attention to Hallyu stars. Kim Hyun Joong is widely popular not only in Korea, but also in all parts of Asia, so all Madame Tussauds locations in Asia are paying close attention to his upcoming wax figure.”
Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong successfully finished his Asian tour concert series in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and Thailand in May 2012. Kim Hyun Joong’s wax figure will be displayed at Madame Tussauds Busan sometime in December 2012.
