Juniel is Currently Beating Ailee for “2012 MAMA” Female Rookie Award

Juniel made an exceptional debut thanks to her oppas at FNC Entertainment. Her debut track “Illa Illa” was used as the theme song for character Im Mae Ari in SBS’s popular drama “A Gentleman’s Dignity” and she was able to make a cameo as herself.  Labelmate CN Blue’s Jong Hyun played the son of Jang Dong Gun, one of the most prominent local A-list celebrities with Hallyu power.

On November 14, Juniel is seen leading the “Best New Female Artist” category with more than 2 million votes to second place Ailee. Labelmate AOA places third with 2 million votes behind second place. But unlike other female rookies, Juniel is the only one to boast a bigger male fanbase at 55.1%.

As there’s 16 days left for the online votes, it’s really up in the air who will take home the most coveted award.

Meanwhile, EXO-K currently boasts a 1 million lead over second place B.A.P for the “Best New Male Artist” award.
