PSY's “Gangnam Style” Falls to Number Five on the Billboard Chart

After remaining at the second place for seven weeks, PSY’s “Gangnam Style” stepped down three places on the “Billboard Hot 100” chart on November 14. According to BDS, the song sat at the third place on “Demand Song” chart, and recorded a 17% decrease in “Digital Song.” The single fell to number 22 on radio airplay from number 14.

PSY is still continuing to promote his hit song around the world. Just a few days ago, the song was nominated in Best Music Video category at MTV “2012 Europe Music Awards.”

In fact, if you check out the Billboard Chart yourself, PSY’s “Gangnam Style” is still sitting at the second place. What’s going on? However, another Billboard article reported that Rhianna’s “Diamond” replaced PSY in the Hot 100’s runner-up spot. 

On November 18, PSY will be awarded the New Media Award at “American Music Awards.” He is also asked to perform “Gangnam Style” on the stage.
