How "Little PSY" Came To Appear in "Gangnam Style" MV

Also lovingly known as, “Little PSY” to viewers of the “Gangnam Style” music video, Hwang Min Woo is an eight year old star who has received global attention for his unforgettable “horse-riding” dance with PSY himself. 

He recently gave an interview with his mother on YTN‘s “News 12-Issues and People” segment, where he told the story of how he managed to land a role in a music video that reached global fame. 

“When I was in Seoul, I was approached by PSY who told me at the time,’I’ve seen you on TV and you’re pretty amazing. Why don’t you show me your skills?’ so just like the dance everyone has seen me perform on the music video, I did the same for him. Afterwards, he praised me saying,’You definitely have talent’ which made me feel happy. PSY then taught me how to dance the “Horse-riding” dance and even presented me with a new pair of sunglasses as a gift!”

He also revealed, “Even after we finished filming the music video, I met with PSY in the dressing room who promised me something. I am not sure what that is yet, but I think it has something to do with pursuing singing or dancing.”
