YG Preparing to Debut New Solo Artist By February 2013

Looks like one of YG Entertainment’s trainees will have a chance to join his sunbaes and make an official debut in the singing world.

According to StarNews, “Super Star K” Season 2 contestant Kang Seung Yoon will debut around January and February next year. An industry insider revealed, “YG’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk is now providing full support to his official debut and are preparing songs. There are more than 10 producers in YG and they’re helping him with his debut.”

The same official continued, “If YG plans to use the same strategy as Lee Ha Yi with Kang Seung Yoon, he’ll release a digital single first in January and follow it up with an album.”

A representative from YG responded, “We have a planned debut date, but we can’t reveal anything more.” The person also mentioned, “Just like Lee Ha Yi, he’ll break his prior image when he makes his debut.”
