Kim Hyun Joong Named “Most Popular Foreign Musician” in China

On December 8, Kim Hyun Joong won the “Most Popular Foreign Musician” award at the “Miguhui Awards” in China. The awards show, first launched in 2007, is considered one of the biggest in China, as it is sponsored by China Mobile, the largest mobile company in China with over 580 million users.

“I’m glad that I’m able to wrap up the year by receiving this award. I’d like to thank all the Chinese fans for showing support and I’ll do my best to present a better performance moving forward,” Kim Hyun Joong said.

Later during the show, Kim Hyun Joong gave lover performances of “Please” and “Break Down.” The show was live-streamed through China Mobile’s official website and was covered by some of the top media outlets in China.

“As proven by this award, amidst the growing popularity of K-Pop, Kim Hyun Joong is considered the top Korean musician in China. We look forward to seeing more promotions from him,” an official from the event said.
