Girls’ Generation’s 2nd Japanese Album Sold Over 250,000 Copies

On December 10 on the official Japanese Record Association website, it was announced that group Girls’ Generation’s second album “Girls & Peace” achieved the “Platinum” status. “Platinum” status is an honorary position that is reached by music albums when they are sold over 250,000 copies. This was a clear proof of the Girls’ Generation’s unending popularity in Japan.

“Girls & Peace” was released on November 28 in Japan. It initially received a lot of attention due to the photo of the Girls’ Generation’s members in flight attendant uniforms that was used as the jacket image. The album consists of 12 songs including “Oh,” “Flower Power,” and “Paparazzi.”

Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation will be performing the “2013 Girls’ Generation Arena Tour” in Japan in 2013.
