Cultwo: "It Would Be Great If PSY Never Came Back to Korea"

Comical singing duo and popular radio DJ pair Cultwo appeared on tvN “Baek Ji Yeon’s People Inside” and talked about their 18 years of career together. During their interview Cultwo joked about their relationship with colleague PSY, “We’ve always competed against PSY for the best end-of-the-year concerts, but since he’s away this year, we might have a chance. If he came back, he’d defeat us and he would win hands down. We hope PSY never comes back to Korea.” 

However, when asked if they consider PSY as their rival, Cultwo answered, “We don’t think we have a rival.” They explained that their concerts–two hours of comedy and music–is one of a kind. They were rather proud to be the trailblazer of a new genre of concerts – comedy concerts. 

Also in this interview, Cultwo opened up about their expertise on reading stories on their radio show, why they have been releasing albums continuously since 1997, and their friendship. They also answered a question from the last episode’s guest, UFC fighter Kim Dong Hyun. He asked, “Which celebrity would you like to marry?” for the upcoming guest on “Baek Ji Yeon’s People Inside” after his interview. Jung Chan Woo picked host Baek Ji Yeon and Kim Tae Gyun picked SISTAR. 

When asked what their occupations were, Jung Chan Woo and Kim Tae Gyun said they respond, “Cultwo” rather than saying that they were comedians or singers. They expressed their hopes in continuing to be Cultwo for the rest of their lives at the end of the interview.
