Moon Geun Young Celebrates Birthday

On January 10, Namoo Actors unveiled a new photo of Moon Geun Young behind the scenes of her drama “Alice in Cheongdamdong.” In the photo, Moon Geun Young is seen wearing a thick padded coat while holding up a birthday cake.

However, the day wasn’t the actress’s actual birthday but that of her character Han Se Kyung’s. It’s been revealed that a devoted fan prepared the event for Han Se Kyung after seeing her birthday listed in the fictional resume.

Moon Geun Young expressed, “I’m grateful that my fans support me and look after even the smallest things.”

Netizens who saw the photo commented, “Wow, such a devoted fan! Moon Geun Young looks happy,” “Her smile is so pretty,” “If only she could smile that brightly in the series,” and more. 

Meanwhile, Moon Geun Young and Park Shi Woo made their small screen comeback through SBS’s “Alice in Cheongdamdong.” In the series, Moon Geun Young plays a rookie designer named Han Se Kyung. Despite her deepest efforts, she just can’t seem to break away from poverty. She decides that the only way she can leave her old life behind is to marry into one of the wealthy families of Cheongdamdong. Park Shi Hoo play Cha Seung Jo, the youngest CEO of Artemis, the leading luxury goods distribution company. He doesn’t trust women after a bad breakup, but deep down, he’s still a romanticist who believes in true love. 

“Alice in Cheongdamdong” will air its eleventh episode this Saturday, January 12, at 9:55PM KST.
