JYJ’s Jaejoong’s Biological Mother Attempted Suicide Because of Netizens’ Harsh Comments

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong’s mother, Oh Seo Jin, recently made a guest appearance on TV Chosun’s “Daechan Life,” where she shared her story and clarified rumors surrounding herself and her son. 

According to Oh Seo Jin, she went through a bad divorce at a young age, and because of economic hardship, she had no choice but to send her son off to another family. While she did not think of it as adoption at the time, it took her twenty-some years to find her son, who later became a huge hallyu star.

However, happiness after being reunited with her son was short lived, as many netizens dubbed her as “Kim Jae Joong’s biological mother who exploits her famous son.” During the recording, Oh Seo Jin revealed, “I was shocked. I even attempted suicide.”

Oh Seo Jin also shared that she learned from her past hardships. Now she’s lives a new life and works as the director of Republic of Korea’s Protect the Familyh organization.

Meanwhile, TV Chosun will air “Daechan Life,” featuring Kim Jae Joong’s birth mother, on Friday, January 11, at 11:10PM KST.
