T-ara Hyomin Cast As Lead Role in Upcoming Japanese Film

T-ara fans rejoice! It looks as though Hyomin will be making it big on the silver screen in Japan! Hyomin was cast as a lead role in the upcoming film “Jinx.” The genre of the film is romance. It is being directed by Naoto Kumazawa. The director is famous for “Hoping to Reach You.”

In the film “Jinx,” Hyomin will play a Korean exchange student “Jiho.” She will be acting alongside Kurumi Shimizu and Kento Yamazaki.

Hyomin stated, “It is the first time that a South Korean female singer has been cast as a lead role in a Japanese film. That is why I am very nervous but I want to receive a favorable evaluation regarding my acting. I am very happy that I will be able to work with Naoto Kumazwa. I liked his film ‘Hoping to Reach You.’”

“Jinx” will be released in Autumn in South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Filming will begin in the middle of February. It will take place in both South Korea and Japan.
