Kim Tae Hee Reveals How She Got into Seoul National University

Did you know Kim Tae Hee graduated from Seoul National University? It’s one of Korea’s prestigious universities and many parents go to many lengths just so their children could be accepted into the school… and lucky for those who haven’t gone to college yet, Kim Tae Hee shares her secrets to being admitted into the selective school.

On February 7, a life insurance company posted on their blog “Life and Talk” of Kim Tae Hee’s talk concert video where she met with 2,000 middle and high school students from all over South Korea from January 25.

On that day, Kim Tae Hee shared several study tips and a few life lessons.

Her first tip was, “Find your daily rhythm first and study at optimal hours.” She explained that she made a mistake in the past because she would study between 10 to 2am. Because of the lack of sleep, would continuously bang her head on her desk in class and even earned the nickname “headbanger.”

Her second tip was, “Don’t give up- no matter what.” She shared, “I loved math because the answer was definite, but subjects like social studies wasn’t interesting. However, I didn’t give up on the subjects I disliked and that’s one of the reasons why I got accepted into Seoul National University.”

Lastly, she shared, “Choose what you want to do, not what someone else wants you to do.” One of the students asked her what she wanted to be before she became a celebrity. “I didn’t really have a dream when I was younger, but got lucky when I entered university and became an actor. It would be great if you picked something that you dream about doing.”
