KPOPCON’13, a K-Pop Convention for Fans, by Fans!
After having a successful inaugural event last year, KPOPCON is back again this year at Northern California to let fans celebrate and share their love of K-Pop! KPOPCON is a two-day K-Pop convention that unites fans of all backgrounds to celebrate the continuously evolving K-pop world in a social, creative, and academic setting.
This year’s Keynote speaker is famed choreographer Aimee Lee Lucas. She is known for working with many big names in the K-Pop industry such as Big Bang, Taeyang, G-Dragon, Se7en, 2NE1, SHINee, Girls’ Generation, BoA, and more!
Like last year, the first day will feature the keynote address, K-Pop and K-Drama related panels, choreography workshops, and performances. The second day consists of a fan meet with various K-Pop fan sites for DBSK, B1A4, SHINee, as well as YesStyle/YesAsia, Viki, and Soompi as well. The fan meet will include a cosplay competition, talent show, and many raffle giveaways.
Below is a run-through on the basics on the convention:
