BoA Is the First Korean to Be Chosen as the Asian Model for Benetton

“Asia’s Star” BoA has recently been selected as the Asian model for the fashion brand, Benetton.

Benetton Korea held an event called “The Face Of Colors” in March 20 at Gangnam, Seoul where BoA was announced to be the 10th model chosen for the brand. Other models include the late Charlie Chaplin‘s granddaughter Kiera Chaplin, Mario Galla, and Lea T.

BoA showed off her high fashion sense by sporting a green leather jacket, black studded shorts and a funky pair of heel-less shoes. BoA commented, “I’m so honored to be part of such a meaningful campaign. After hearing the other nine models’ stories, I was so touched,” and “I heard that I am the first Korean to be a model for this campaign. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this significant event.”

During the event, each model was given a color to represent their unique charms and backgrounds. BoA’s color was silver, to which she commented, “It’s a futuristic and flashy color,” and “I’m happy that this color represents my hard work in order to achieve my dreams. I will work hard so that I will be able to implant a dream to many others.”

Benetton Korea’s representative Kim Chang Soo shared, “BoA was chosen as the model due to her beauty and value. She is one of the main artists who started the Hallyu wave since her debut at the age of 13. Silver represents BoA since she is a great mentor for those who have great visions and dreams in the future.”
