Second Hearing for Park Si Yeon, Lee Seung Yeon and Jang Mi In Ae's Propofol Case Held

On April 8, the second hearings for Park Si Yeon, Lee Seung Yeon and Jang Mi In Ae‘s case of alleged propofol abuse have been held.

The first hearing for this case was held on March 25 where the courts tried to decide whether the actresses used the drug for medical purposes or for recreational purposes. The actresses lawyers stated, “We admit that our clients did receive propofol injections but only because the doctor prescribed it to them for medical reasons.”

Jang Mi In Ae’s legal reps stated, “We acknowledge that Jang Mi In Ae received propofol but they were for medical purposes. The reports that claim she received 95 counts need to be checked,” and “It is a known fact that propofol is needed for carboxytherapy. Jang Mi In Ae was only trying to improve herself as a celebrity, which is why she received that treatment.”

Lee Seung Yeon’s reps also stated, “It is true that Lee Seung Yeon was injected with propofol but it was for medical reasons.”

Park Si Yeon’s reps stated, “Park Si Yeon only received propofol through her doctor’s prescriptions. There are some parts of the injection records that don’t match with her schedule at the time.”

Meanwhile, according to the police, Park Si Yeon used propofol on 185 counts, Lee Seung Yeon on 111 counts and Jang Mi In Ae on 95 counts.

The next hearing will be held on April 22.
