PSY's New Single Gentleman Released!

Finally! The hotly anticipated follow up to PSY’s worldwide hit “Gangnam Style” was released on April 12 at 12:00am. The song “Gentleman” was released through various Korean music download websites. Many are wondering whether “Gentleman” will be able to live up to the expectations created by the success of “Gangnam Style” and whether it will also be able to break the language barrier.

A representative of YG Entertainment stated, “PSY created lyrics that have wit and a rhyme, so that you can enjoy the song even if you do not understand the language.”

“Gentleman” is an electronic song that has a slower beat than “Gangnam Style.” However, the song contains interesting lyrics such as “I’m a Mother, Father, Gentleman.” The music video for “Gentleman” will be directed by Jo Soo Hyun who also directed the music video for “Gangnam Style.” The first live performance of “Gentleman” will be at Psy’s South Korean concert on April 13, titled “Happening.”
