Lee Hyori Achieves “All-Kill” Status and Cries From Built-Up Pressure

On May 6, director Cha Eun Taek posted a message on his Twitter, “Lee Hyori’s ‘Miss Korea’ all-kill. Also, got a text message from Hyori. Her short message reads, ‘I’m crying right now.’ I understand just how much she must be going through. I got to witness her hard work so I’m all choked up watching this glorious moment. Lee Hyori fighting!”

Not long before, Lee Hyori released the music video for track “Miss Korea” and it is drawing much interest from the public. She has shot up on Korea’s main search engine rankings and her song achieved “all-kill” status on the online music charts.

The accomplishment is that much sweeter since it’s been three years from her last album “H-Logic,” which was swept up in plagiarism controversy. She immediately stopped promotions and also stopped all television appearances.

She posted on her own Twitter, “I got to get first place because of everyone’s interest and support and I’m happy. To be honest, I was very nervous so this is giving me strength. I think I can go practice today with a more joyful spirit. Thank you so much.”
