Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan Gifts Ex-Manager With 30 Million Won

Kim Dong Wan is in the spotlight for his generosity.

On June 11, a representative from his agency shared to XSportsNews via phone, “We didn’t find out about his good deed until we read it in the news.”

The representative continued, “Kim Dong Wan’s previous manager, Mr. Kim, was having a hard time and he gave Mr. Kim 30 million won (~$30,000) on June 6. When I asked him about the gift, he answered with a shock, ‘Did that get in the news?’ Anyway, it was his way of showing his previous manager his thanks combined with the fact that he’s having a hard time.”

The representative added, “After I found out about his good deed, I thought, ‘Of course. It’s Kim Dong Wan.’ However, he feels flustered that it was found out by the media.”

It is well known that he watches out for his friends and people close to him and has earned the nickname “idol donator king.” Through KBS’s “Love Request,” he donated 30 million won to the grandmothers who were once forced to serve Japan’s military brothels as comfort women during the Japanese occupation.

Meanwhile, Shinhwa is in the middle of its tour “2013 Shinhwa Grand Tour – The Classic” and plans to be active in Korean music programs until the end of June.
