Director Goo Hye Sun’s film, “The Peach Tree,” (2012) was invited to the 2013 New York Asian Film Festival, according to TV Report.

The New York Asian Film Festival showcases various Asian films to the American public, creating artistic cultural awareness. “The Peach Tree” will be screened at the New York Lincoln Center on July 9.

The official homepage describes “The Peach Tree” as “a romance movie that will make you feel sensibility more than ever before.” Critics claim that “the actors, the musicians, the writer, and the director are all versatile artists. Goo Hye Sun creates the story of two men, trapped in one body, portraying romance with a dark twist.”

Actress Nam Sang Mi stars in “The Peach Tree,” alongside actors Jo Seung Woo and Ryu Duk Hwan, who play the parts of Siamese twin brothers. The conjoined twins’ heads are attached back to back, so that the brothers can never see each other’s faces directly. They lead isolated dark lives, until they meet and fall in love with the same girl.

The New York Asia Film Festival began on June 28 and will continue until July 15, featuring films from Korea, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
