Boom Had Five Times More Holidays Than Regular Korean Soldiers

High on the heels after the latest celebrity soldiers scandal, it’s been revealed that TV personality Boom also had preferential treatment.

On July 4, reporter Heo Ji Woong made a guest appearance on JTBC’s “Ssulzun” where he commented, “The image of celebrity soldiers is pretty bad after the reality has been exposed through the media.”

He continued, “It was revealed not to long ago that Boom had 150 vacation days to the surprise of many. Regular soldiers only have 35 days.”

The reporter added, “And not that long ago, there was a report released that a soldier who got brain tumor wasn’t sent to the hospital. Instead, he was sent to the medical corps and passed away.”
