BoA Reportedly Cast in Drama with Choi Daniel, SM Says It's Not 100% Confirmed
After stepping her foot into Hollywood, it has been reported that BoA has been cast for a Korean drama!
BoA is reported to be cast as the leading lady for a two episode KBS pilot drama, “Expect Dating” (working title).
On July 16, Star News reported that BoA attended the script reading for the drama. Choi Daniel will be playing the leading role alongside BoA.
Sources spoke with Star News and said, “BoA spoke closely with the production team and she was very into her character throughout the script reading.”
However, SM Entertainment spoke with SportsSeoul.com on July 16 and said, “BoA’s casting for ‘Expect Dating’ is not yet confirmed.”
They continued, “BoA is positively reviewing the project,” and “It is true that we have spoken with the broadcasters and production teams.”
“Expect Dating” will air as a Wednesday drama special and is known to be in an experimental format. Preparations will be finalized in the middle of August so the exact date of broadcast is not yet decided.
If BoA is confirmed for the drama, it will be her first time acting as a leading role in a Korean drama. She made a cameo appearance in “Athena: Goddess of War” in 2010.
