Kollaboration SF Seeks The Next Great Bay Area Talent

Kollaboration San Francisco is set to showcase talent from across the Northern California Bay Area. Set for August 3, 2013, the event will be held at the historic California Theatre in San Jose, CA

Now in its fourth iteration, Kollaboration SF continues to strive towards expanding the Asian & Pacific Island (API) presence in entertainment and media, hoping to empower generations of young API artists to pursue their ambitions.

This year’s finalists include &blue (Singing Group), DS Players (Dance Group), LVL5 (Singing Group), Melvin Sings (Acoustic Singer), The Delivery (Singing Group) and Tim Atlas (Acoustic Singer). They will be competing for a $1000 prize and a chance to represent the area in Kollaboration Star, Kollaboration’s national competition in November, and win the $20,000 grand prize.

This year’s show will be hosted by Bay Area native and comedian Joey Guila. Guest performing will be last year’s winner Peter Chung, Seattle-based indie band Lions Ambition, Chinese-American comedian Jimmy Ouyang and award-winning hip-hop dance company Funk Beyond Control.
