On August 12, C-JeS Entertainment stated, “We have signed an exclusive contract with talented actress Kang Hye Jung who received a lot of love through various roles like famed movie ‘Old Boy’ and ‘Welcome to Dongmakgol.’ We will do our best to give the Chungmuro representative actress our unending and wholehearted support so that she will be able to show her best acting.”

A representative added, “A talented actress like Kang Hye Jung is rare. As her career is further blossoming, the movie industry sees this move as good news.”

The roster at C-JeS Entertainment currently includes actors Song Ji Hyo, Lee Jung Jae, Park Sung Woong, Park Yu Hwan, and Jin Hyuk, as well as group JYJ.
