Choi Jin Hyuk Used to Get Upset at Juniors Who Treated Him Badly

Choi Jin Hyuk recently talked about the hidden stories behind his seven-year acting career.

On August 13, Choi Jin Hyuk appeared on tvN’s “eNEWS – Reporter to Reporter” and talked about the recently ended MBC drama, “Gu Family Book.” He started off by saying, “I played the role of Gu Wol Ryung and I’m experiencing a lot of aftereffect symptoms.”

He continued, “It might be embarrassing to say but sometimes, I watch ‘Gu Family Book’ at home. Every time I watch it, I feel sad. It would have been nice to have 100 episodes of the drama,” and “I think it was divine intervention that got me cast on this drama. I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t do this drama.”

Choi Jin Hyuk commented, “After seven years of acting, I realized many things. Some juniors, who are way younger than me, are more successful than me so they tend to disrespect me on set. It was really upsetting.”

He continued, “But at a certain point, I realized I had to accept it all. If not, I would lose. So I became a lot stronger. I studied acting even harder and I thought that I should do well and rise to the top as well.”

Choi Jin Hyuk wisely left off with, “In the past, I just wanted to act and that was all. But these days, I changed. I thought I was miserable in the past but now that I think about it, those were all times that were became my blood and flesh.”
